Tickled Pink with Tula Pink!

Tula Pink is all kinds of cool, and I’m a big fan.  Behold her talent.  First up, here are some of the fabrics from her new Nightshade collection (available in the shop — click on each image for the listing):

And of course her new book:

Last week I attended the Spring Quilt Market in Kansas City.  Imagine how thrilled I was to see her presentation and her booth!  Just look at the gorgeousness:

The quilts were pieced by Tula Pink and quilted by Angela Walters, author of the new book Free-Motion Quilting.  Amazing, huh.

And here is the delightful Tula herself.  (Sorry for the tiny pic — I haven’t been able to enlarge it.)

She gave a short fanciful presentation at Market and explained the inspiration behind Nightshade.  It’s a story from Tula’s imagination about three enchanted, witchy sisters.  Loved it!

(Note about Tula:  She’s charismatic and has a great sense of humor.  You would love her!)

I made a note of a great tip she gave us — use the VOILE for PILLOWCASES.  Great idea!  If you haven’t sewn with the voile or even touched it, you’re missing out.  It’s so soft, silky, and easily washable.

Then she unveiled her newest collection, The Birds and The Bees.

Oh, people.  It’s all beautiful and we ordered quilter’s cotton and voile.  Arriving in July.  I can.not.wait.

#Tulatroop that I am, I was so excited to meet her after her presentation, and I’m wearing the M6503 dress made from her Prince Charming Hex Box Coral voile.

I really, really want her glasses, don’t you?
